Can anyone give me a review of what is it like to be declared either a Biological Sciences major or a Biomedical Engineering major?
I’d like to see your viewpoints of how your like / hate your classes, work schedule, etc. Please help me! I’m ambivalent and I need some input so I can start planning my classes and predict what I need to do in the future. Thanks!
Why am I at conflict with myself on determining what I would like to become in the future?
My parents are strongly urging me to become an engineer, a career that my father pursued as he was successful with his Vietnamese company, and… feeling like I am an “heir” to his dream. However, as ambivalent as I am now, I am stuck “on the border” whether to pursue a career in the medical field, an area my parents despise and would not like to support me if I were to enter, or the engineering field. I do have to admit, from my experience during high school and taking AP exams, I am proficient, not excellent, in either subjects, receiving B’s. I do like the idea of making objects for consumers, or being an Imagineer at Disney. I only have a slight lead on math since I consider myself a puzzle solver than a memorizer in biology. I do like to have ”hands-on” experience and think of new ideas as an engineer, but in the medical field, helping others, such as I have learned through KIWIN’S, has inspired me to strive for that area. *sigh* I think I am thinking to much for the summer. I want to slap myself and eat a scoop of ice cream. *sniff*
